Train No. 11, the Des Moines Limited from Moberly, got up close & personal with a Des Moines Ry. bus early one morning in the mid-1950's. No one was seriously hurt though. The collision took place at 7 a.m. at the Scott Ave. crossing.

Streamlined P-1 Hudson #700 poses for an official photo outside the Wabash Shops in Decatur, August 1943. This locomotive was rebuilt in Decatur Shops from former K-5 2-8-2 #2600, and was used specifically on Wabash's crack passenger trains until the mid-1950's.
