WRHS Restoration Funds

The WRHS is always happy to receive both monetary and "sweat equity" contributions to our Caboose 2824 restoration project. As info, this caboose resides and now owned by  the Monticello Railway Museum in Illinois. The WRHS has finished restoring this caboose to its ca. 1962 glory (including installation of repro Wabash-built cupboards & cabinetry), and the recently-repainted caboose was officially rededicated during our Annual Meeting in Sept. 2015.

Work on maintaining the   Cabooses  is still needed. Can you donate your time & expertise towards the maintenance? Please contact Larry Van Houten (wabash700) and/or James Holzmeier (wabashry). NOTE: Both of these are gmail addresses.

The WRHS new projects have committed its time and money in a cooperative effort with the Illinois Railway Museum in the restoration of the full-size Rogers replica, which is in the IRM collection. See WRHS News for further information. Donations to the cause may be made by check, made out to Wabash Railroad Historical Society.

Donations may be sent to: WRHS Rogers Restoration Project,  10415 Ponderosa Dr. Foristell, Mo 63348.
